Remove your drain pump and check for lint and debris.

  • Anonymous Feb 23, 2009

Remove 2 phillips screws at the back corners of the control panel/

Pull the panel forward and raise it up then backwards.

Unplug the lid switch wire harness.

Remove 2 metal clips on the right and left rear of the cabinet. They hold the cabinet to the back panel.

The cabinet will then lift off.

The pump is attached to the motor with 2 hoses and 2 metal clips.

Removbe the hoses, then remove the clips. Remove the pump and inspect it for a clog.

While the cabinet is off, inspect the wash tub for a garment stuck near the drain hole from the tub to the pump hose.

Reverse the above procedure to re-install the cabinet.

Remember to plug in the lid switch.

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing machine (model LSN1000JQ0). The washer will fill with water and begin to agitate. Shortly after it will stop and will not drain. I've cleaned all hoses

see the next steps and use the common sense: God bless you
It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port. Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job. If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump. It doesn't spin or pump If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. It pumps, but the water returns If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems: If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Lsw9750pw3 clothes still wet

If there is water remaining after the drain then the drain pump must be checked. Also check the TILT of the washer and must be inclined to the drain side.
If the clothes are wet then the SPIN RPM is insufficient or the program cycle time is not adequate. Please try with another cycle or check the motor, belt, capacitor as the RPM is low.

Whirlpool ultimate care II will not go into rinse or spin cycle. Motor runs and agitates during wash cycle properly. This problem occurrs on all wash cycles.

The problem is most likely with the lid switch. This washer can fill and agitate with the lid up or down but will only drain and spin with the lid down. If the lid switch breaks the washer does not know that the lid is down so it will not run.

The part number for your model is 8054980 and runs about $20.00, it is shown in the image on this link below as part 11.

My whirlpool ultimate care series washer does not drain and won't spin. what seems to be the problem?

Hi.

It is a drain problem. The machine timer won't advance to spin until it detects that drain is complete. For this reason the machine is also not spinning.

Check lid switch first, this is testted with a multimeter.
Ensure that the drain hose at the back is not clogged or kinked.
Access the drain pump and undo the hose attached to the pump, see if there is any blockage in there.
The pump can be fully tested by a technician energizing it directly.
If the drain system is fine check the pressure switch that detects when the drain is complete, this should not be the case.
If all the rest is OK, replace the control board.

You can find parts and diagrams for most models here.

Regards.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Model #LSQ7030KQ0 Won't Spin

Either a bad lid switch or a bad clutch/brake on the transmission.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II does not completely drain.

Mine will do this if clothes are left in it for a long period of time. The pump will not drain all water out because the will dry out the seals if they do. Your wet clothes dripped in the tub raising the water level to the bottom of the drum and that is why you have wet clothes. Remove clothes as soon as they are done, use cycle signal to avoid this.

Laundry comes out very wet

Hello tcburns07,
If possible, can you cycle a very small load of wash ( perhaps a towel or two) on the lowest setting to validate that : the washer is spiining up to normal speeds while draining water and that the water being drained is complete? Chancves are you have a either a blocked filter that limits water from completely draining, something in the drain pump or a restriction in your drain system. You could also have a worn belt that drives the pump. The test I suggested will at least determine if your washer is capable of draining all of the water from even a small wash load. Try that and let me know the results.
Regards,
Rick
