Hi, Unable to download photos from camera. Missing driver?? Thanks.
What make and model camera?
If it uses a memory card of some type then you don't need a driver. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Are you sure the camera is not showing up as an external drive when you access "my computer"?
You may want to just buy a media card reader, and download your Memory Stick Pro Duo through that. Cheaper than buying a new camera.

the camera need to be on for the PC to detected the memory card.
you also going to need the Arcsoft PhotoImpression software. However, the software is going to cost you $40. if you lost the CD that came with the camera.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

You shouldntd need a specific driver just to get photos off your camera.
What happens when you plug the camera into your computer with a USB cable?
If you view the File Explorer, you should see it listed as a removable hard drive.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
