Memory Upgrade I want to upgrade my memory to 4GB from the original 512MB that came with my T180, Aspire. Can I Use two 2GB memory cards to achieve 4GB's, or must I use four separate 1GB memory cards? I have 4 slots.

Looks like the Aspire T180 takes DDR2 533/667/800 memory. This is pretty easy to upgrade. Check to see how many memory slots your computer has (Probably 4, might only have 2). You should probably just replace what you have with new memory.

It is 2x 2GB modules. 4GB of RAM is a good amount of RAM to have, you will see a noticeable performance increase.

WiFi:
I would recommend a USB wifi adaptor. It is easy to instal and most ones work well, even the cheap ones. Just stick it in the back of your computer and forget it it's even there.

Your P4M900T-M Motherboard is capable of handling upto 4Gb. You might want to consider to upgrade its memory to 2Gb, 3Gb, or to its full capacity, 4Gb. Definitely, it will greatly affect your computer's performance as you are distributing its resources (video, motherboard, memory, etc) to perform individually as it was designed for.

you need to check how many slots it having.. in each slot you can put maximum 2GB memory..means if its having 2 slots , you can upgrade upto 4GB ,

i have an acer t180 which has 1gb ram and amd athlon 64x2 processon which gives me 2.01 ghz speed, i'v installed windows 7 ultimate converting from xp and everything seems to be running fine, there are netbooks etc which have low ram and processor speed but they still are sold by big companies with windows 7 installed

Acer systems are picky about the type of memory you use.
What is your RAM Speed on the old chips compaired to the new chip

You may have to reorder the same type of speed memory

Your laptop may just not recognize and not even boot up if you exceed the memory limit. It will not harm the laptop if you give it a try with the 4gb. However, sometimes caution is a good thing. It all depends on what you are trying to do on your acer. If you haven't already, remove the old memory sticks and replace it with the 1 2gb memory stick. Work with it for a little while (this should not give you a problem). If you feel the laptop is still too slow....let me know...I will look up the compatibility with the memory and your laptop.

check, if you motherboard support 2GB, or else start windows in safe mode with 2GB.
