I have an acer t180 which has 1gb ram and amd athlon 64x2 processon which gives me 2.01 ghz speed, i'v installed windows 7 ultimate converting from xp and everything seems to be running fine, there are netbooks etc which have low ram and processor speed but they still are sold by big companies with windows 7 installed
This system of yours is robust just see that you have more than 1 GB of ram and i assure you that it will work good with windows 7 and need not worry any more!!!
kindly rate this solution
Thanks And Regards

By default without upgrades or stock changes has 512MB of memory. this is below the recommended minimum. You can however upgrade up to 4GB max.
Your processor if it is stock woudl be a AMD X2 3400+ @ 1.8Ghz. This is well enough to run Windows 7 but may seem slow after you start getting things installed. The minimum is 1GHz but its best to have a 2.6GHz Dual Core or better with 2GB memory to make your experience worth your time.

You have done half the work toward the solution by removing the thumbscrews. The other half involves sliding a spring-loaded lever above the lower thumbscrew toward the bottom of the case. While the lever is slid toward the case bottom, push on the side panel in the same direction as the screws, i.e. toward the rear of the case. The side panel should slide just slightly, allowing you to then lift it off to access the inside. Note that when replacing the side panel, follow the above steps in reverse order.
When replacing the side panel, note that if the panel is not correctly replaced, the thumbscrews will not be able to be installed as the lock lever will not be set properly.

Perform a system recovery:
Does not come with recovery cd's - there is a program that allows you to burn the disks or
recover.
3 ways:
1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer empowering technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Restore to factory default settings"
2. Or click on Burn disks instead of restore
3. if unable to ge into Windows then Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen on startup
