Question about NEC WT610 DLP Projector
If the status light is flashing .5 seconds on and 2.5 seconds off - you need to replace the lamp cover correctly.
if the status light is flashing .5 seconds on and .5 seconds off in 2 - 6 cycles the error is: 2 cycles - the projector is overheated. Move the projector to a cooler location, or/and remove dust in the light path. 3 cycles - the power unit is not working correctly. 4 cycles - the fans are not working correctly 5 cycles - lamp fails to light. Wait a full minute and then turn on again.

Check the power supply , especially the capacitors at the secondary stage of your power supply. They will be bulged at the top and sometimes with some brown paste on the board.
