WASHER NO SPIN

After it agitates, and the water drains out, when the timer advances to spin cycle, the timer advances, but no spin. I checked the tubs, no obstructions, coupling between the motor and drive unit is perfect. The wires and capacitor are OK.. Now if i list the lid, and then turn the tub manually, close the lid, it now spins. No matter how many times I raise and lower the lid, till the spin cycle is done. Restart the washer in the spin cycle and it still spins. BUT start the washer from the beginning, let it agitate, etc., when it comes to the spin cycle, no spin. Unless I turn it by hand again.

SOURCE: Spin Cycle

you can check the direct drive coupling between the motor and the transmission, if the coupling is good and not broken then you have a transmission problem

SOURCE: The washer will not agitate or spin. It does drain the water

Hi, this can be two issues here. Number one would be a busted belt. The next issue would be a drive assembly failure. this consist of the clutch and gear case(transmission) assembly. I would check these areas out. you will find the problem here.

Hello there:
If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter

Stuck in spin

Hi!

If the Washer is stuck in spin then either the timer or a cold-water supply problem is causing this :
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance, then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water
