Hi Michelle,
Does the Foxtel have a slot in the back marked HDMI Out? If so, this is the best possible connection to the Bravia. However you would need to pick up the HDMI cable (like bestbuy) It is a video & sound all in one. Do the 6 cords end in RCA jacks, and are they color coded?

SOURCE: Hi there. I have a sky hd plus box and I am unsure

Connect the Sky boxes AV out to the line in of the Samsung using a Yellow/Red/White RCA cable. Then in the source button of the Samsung choose External In or Line In and just hit the record button. The only problem with this connection is that you will have to leave the Samsung selector on Line In even just to watch programs from Sky. This is called a looped through connection. Your Sky is looped through your Samsung Recorder.

I have a samsung bluray dvd player/recorderBD-HDD Combo, when I want to record a t.v. programme It says it is full, how do I delete all the recorded programmes to make room for more?

The delete feature isn't well explained but it is in the E-manual for the BD-H8900M on page 89. You'll find Delete file or Partial Delete File options in the Options menu from the Play-back screen or the list of Recorded TV. To see the list of recorded programs, press List at the bottom of the remote. Alternatively, press the Home button on the remote (above the up arrow). Then select Recorded TV and press the Enter/Select button in the center of the arrow keys. Look for the Options icon (a square with a line going from the center of the square through the upper right hand corner). You may have to highlight a file. Press the Select key. Go through the menu for the Delete command and press Select. You will be prompted to confirm the choice.

The User Manual for this Samsung Blu-ray player with Freeview Recorder is available from the product support page: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/BD-H8900M/XU/ . The direct link showed as http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201501/20150116094738990/H8500_H8900_ENG-1103-1-0507_BM.pdf in my browser history.

I hope this helps. If you have a different Samsung Blu-ray player with HDD recorder, please add a comment with the model number.

How do I record content from the television and move it onto a usb so I can have it as a file on my computer?

Maybe you can try to use a DVD. It is easy to do. You just need to burn your televisions to a DVD, and then rip them into other PC. In this process, nothing will be lose.
And in this process, you may need two tools: DVD Creator and DVD Ripper. Leawo DVD Creator and Leawo DVD Ripper is nice choice. For more details about them, keep move to the official site below:
