I have user manual I cant find any info on how to do this.
The delete feature isn't well explained but it is in the E-manual for the BD-H8900M on page 89. You'll find Delete file or Partial Delete File options in the Options menu from the Play-back screen or the list of Recorded TV. To see the list of recorded programs, press List at the bottom of the remote. Alternatively, press the Home button on the remote (above the up arrow). Then select Recorded TV and press the Enter/Select button in the center of the arrow keys. Look for the Options icon (a square with a line going from the center of the square through the upper right hand corner). You may have to highlight a file. Press the Select key. Go through the menu for the Delete command and press Select. You will be prompted to confirm the choice.
The User Manual for this Samsung Blu-ray player with Freeview Recorder is available from the product support page: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/BD-H8900M/XU/ . The direct link showed as http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201501/20150116094738990/H8500_H8900_ENG-1103-1-0507_BM.pdf in my browser history.
I hope this helps. If you have a different Samsung Blu-ray player with HDD recorder, please add a comment with the model number.

Did you finaleze the DVD after dubbing?
After dubbing material from hard disk to DVD you need to "finalize" the DVD disk to make it playable. You would think that this action would be accessible from the "Dubbing" menu. It's not. Each time, you have to go to the "Setup" menu, which is normally used for the initial setup of the video tuners and default values of record/playback preferences.
Are you deleting the files correctly ?
For example, If you choose the "Navigation" button on the remote to view a list of what you have recorded on HD and you see that several of them are no longer of interest and can be deleted, you have to back out step by step from the "Navigation" set of menus, then press the "Edit" button to first choose an action (delete) then get the same list of programs to choose the ones to delete
Have you used this machine in the past successfully?
Cheers

SOURCE: Wharfedale DVDR24HD250 DVD Recorder When set
Products such as this will use an internal tuner to tune channels, this tuner will not detect your televisions freeview stations, to record from your television, connect scart out from tv to the scart in on the recorder, then select the scart A/V channel, use the television to select the channel you want to record, you will not be able to record 1 freeview channel and watch another freeview chanel as you only have 1 digital tuner (in the television) the recorder does not have freeview built in.. hope that helps
SOURCE: I have purchased a Teac HDR2500T video recorder. I
The part re the other channels having no signal....I had the same problem with mine and that was because the small loop cable in the back wasnt right. I could watch all channels, press record and still watch that channel but try to watch a diff channel while its recording and they were gone. As soon as I had the loop cable in properly it solved the problem. Hope this helps....
