Needless to say, it's probably not a blown capacitor. If the unit will not power on at all (control/standby indicators are not lit) the problem may be as simple as a blown fuse on your SMPS (near the AC socket) or on your Main Logic PCB. You should also use your fluke/voltmeter to verify that the Vs, Va, Vsc, and Ve values are reasonably close to those specified on the panel label. Re-post your findings!

It sounds as if your I.C. controlling the gamma on your TCon board has gone bad. To replace this you must have a thorough understanding of electronics and know how to replace electronic components without damaging them or yourself. The board costs approx. 260.00 and they require a good core in exchange, If you do not have a core it will cost an additional 110.00. Good luck

The built in light and the LED could be causing the TV screen to not having anything show up on the TV's screen. It would be more convenient to purchase a new TV instead of trying to repair the current one that you have.

The EU does not have parts availability like some other countries. With that in mind your unit can have a failure in the led strips that are behind the screen and the screen wont light properly, if this happens when the unit is on then you see half the picture, if the unit is shut off then when it is powered on, it senses the change in the current flowing in the back light strips and wont turn on at all. The process is to find the strips and replace them or if you are inclined and trained, troubleshoot the strips to find the individual LED that failed and replace only those.

Could be bad LED's in the panel, the driver circuitry senses current use by the LED's and if it's out of spec due to a faulty LED it will either not allow the backlights to come on or they may cycle & blink it also could be a fault in the driver circuitry but it seems that there has been a high LED failure rate. I would suggest that no one operates their tv as it comes out of the box (default settings) go into the menu and adjust the brightness down a little that will put less stress on the LED's.

The problem is either the color wheel or dmd board. Both parts are expensive so I would recommend contacting a Samsung authorized repair center. You can call 1-800-samsung or go to samsung-usa.com to find a service provider.
