My log in screen is not showing up when i first start up the ps3

re store it with the 3 beep look on www.youtube.com

switch on, then press on the power button again untill it switches off, then press on again untill it beeps twice, let go on the second beep and you should have acces to the service menu, hopefully on screen you will see options and you can restore system from there.

Can you log in as a guest?
Can you back up your game data to a memory card?
If so , do that and do a quick format and restore on the hard drive

PS3 only show welcome screen and stuck in sparkle line when power up : That means hardware problems inside your console : Mostly are CPU overheat but actually you can't just cool it down by turn off a while. Following on from the PS3 3.50 firmware update today, we have started to hear of owners having problems logging on to their accounts.

We have heard of PS3 owners who have updated their system complaining that they cannot sign in, and every time they enter their password are getting the wrong password message. We have had customers who have two PSN accounts and cannot log into either of them. They are met with wrong password message, and even when they use "Forgot your Password" all that comes up is an error.

Conrad Zimmerman of Destructtoid is reporting that PSN is going to have some scheduled maintenance today. This could be why users are complaining of problems logging on to their accounts.

The maintenance is expected to take place during 8 am until 5pm Pacific time. There will be a lot of users who are at work during this time so it will not be a problem for them, but for everyone else it will be somewhat of an annoyance.

Try this turn on your ps3,turn on your mic go to start new chat all the way to the left at start up screen after you log in,it's above your friends.Now go to voice/video chat.Go over to settings and select audio device settings.Enable it and adjust the volume.That should work.Your device will be showing blue if it is working on your playstation in the settings.

Your tv screen has problems with the video mode
that has setted up on your ps3, hold the power button till hear two beeps, this will reset the video mode of the ps3, and leavse you at a screen to set up the video mode of the ps3.

I had this problem before. I messed with the settings on my PS3 and My TV until the settings matched. My PS3 would show the home until I loaded a game. I turned off then on my PS3 to get to the settings. My TV manual had the types of videos it supported so I went with the second to highest setting it supported and it worked. Hope this helps.

I was having the same problem. It was COD WAW causing the problems. I had to restore mine to factory defaults 2 days after I played the game but now everything has been working fine. If you can't see anything to get to factory reset, you can turn your power off on the back and then turn it back on, hold your finger on the turn on switch on the front for about 3-4 secs til you hear 2 beeps and it should come up and let you restore from there. Thats what I done and its been 2mths now and still no problems. I was on the verge of sending it in til I found this solution online. Hope it helps! BTW, i didnt do the full restore where you lose all game saves, just the easy one restore factory SETTINGS!
