Kenmore 417.44052401 code E43 code won't spin on final cycle. I took off the cover and unplugged and plugged back in all connections. I found someone had to replace the front door latch. Is this a difficult job? Can I find a used part or refurb at a reasonable price?

It's a bad wax motor inside the door latch. The diagnostics are buggy and do not test it properly. It should measure about 1.5K ohms, and when 120 VAC is applied to it, it should extend in about a minute. Part number 12002535 is $10 to $15.

We experienced the same thing. I was able to restart and locate the noise to the water pump. After disassembling the water pump found the impeller shaft sliding out. For some reason this shaft will not stay in place. Had to order a complete pump assembly as the electric motor is not available.
