Convergence trouble The colors won't line up correctly. Tried auto and manual, but no use. How can I reset to factory setting for the convergence with the remote?

If the model number is correct here look on the back of the set not for model number but chassis number---suspect that is PTK195.

If that one and convergence is skewed fairly bad--easy repairs--just need a meter to check a few parts to know. Set has a common problem where one of two diodes shorts and convergence only partly works.

Convergence board needs repair, google you model # and see if you can purchase a repair kit.

Reset will not cure a convergence problem.

this model (ws-65711) uses a single convergence chip located on the middle circuit board (see photo).

If convergence is skewed and will not adjust in customer menu the chip needs to be replaced.

No two sets with convergence problems will look exactly the same but I will also attach a few photos of this kind of trouble.

You need to put STK394-250 IC in tv to get correct convergence.
STK392-110 is different part and has different internal circuit.

Common convergence problems like this require the set to be repaired. Transistors are used to control convergence and they will go bad eventually and require replacement. Expect a repair cost in the 100 to 175 dollar range depending on who you can find to complete the repair.

Your convergence is bad. If after trying the Auto Convergence option on the TV it doesn't correct itself, you can try manually adjusting the convergence Here is a link to perform a manual convergence on your set. Good luck!

Plugs on the chassis coming from keyboard and side video input are switched (they have same plug)
redoo convergence save and auto focus in factory mode after switching plugs

a common problem wich i also have with convergence with blue and red convergence.
the image converge amplifiers are burnet out wich in turn blow out resisters that control individual color convergence.

If "colors are not right" means red,green or blue separation =
convergence mis-alignment. That repair requires replacement
