HP Deskjet 930C USB connection

Is it possible to connect an HP deskjet 930C printer using a USB cable rather than the 'old' style printer cable. If so could you advise which cable I would need to purchase as I presume that the port on the printer would need a special type of connector.
Thank you

Yes but you may have to re-install the software for the camera. If so,
Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

How can I make my HP 930c print with no color cartridge?

you cannot make it print with no cart, but if you have an old one, drill holes in the top and fill with water, 930c uses weight to establish ink level, after much mucking around I have done this today, printing right now :)

I bought another deskjet 932c from e-bay to replace my old one. I have windows 98se which is not connected to the internet. When plugging in the 932c I just bought, a message comes stating that there is...

Try a self test disconnected from the computer by pressing the 2 left buttons for 4 seconds and then wait for about 15 seconds for a test page to begin. Some models were the right 2 buttons pressed for 4 seconds. If it self test ok then it is software or cable interface. Make sure you are using the same USB or parallel port as before or reset the printer properties to that port. Sometimes the printer dip switches have been messed with and your system will not see the printer properly.

Hi:
The deskjet 930c will hook up to your laptop with a USB printer cable, no problem.
If you hook it up to your laptop, and turn it on, Windows should have the driver built right in. If not, you can download the driver from www.hp.com from their support/drivers link.

I cannot get my HP deskjet 932C installed again. I disconnected it to have my computer repaired. I did unstall and re-install the software, but am still getting the same message that it cannot find LPT1....

To begin with, here is a link for the user guide for your printer:

HP 930C User guide (Even though it says 930, your 932 should be nearly identical.)

Page 40 begins the setup instructions. If you are going to use the parallel printer cable, the printer port must be enabled in your BIOS. What did you have "repaired"?

It would be easier to get a USB cable and connect it with it, that is if you have a USB connection.

What operating system are you using? That may help me understand your problem better.
