Installing issues Hey, Have reformatted my hd and now my printer, HP Deskjet 930c, won't install. It comes up with the message, data is invalid. I have changed the cable from usb to parrallel and then used a different usb cable but the same message keeps appearing. It happened also after installing a new (recycled) cartridge. Is my printer damaged? (installed on amd x2 4200 2 gig ram and asus mb with xp pro sp2) Cheers Bob

You might want to try with an original HP cartridge, I've had a similar problem on another HP printer with the "recycled" cartridges. Also, you might want to try with the updated drivers (link: http://tinyurl.com/94626l ) or you may want to try the printer on a different computer (if possible) to make sure that it isn't the printer that is corrupted. Otherwise, have a deep sift through the HP website (on the same site as the link above) to have a look at the FAQ's if there is any more help available.

Out of paper error

Hi, the HP printers tell you what's wrong by using the lights on the front. Depending on which lights are on/flashing/off will give a different fix.
If you can let me know the sequence of lights (i.e. resume light blinking plus cartridge light on etc).

HP Deskjet 930C USB connection

Yes but you may have to re-install the software for the camera. If so,
Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

What version of windows do you have? If you have version 95 to 2000, You can get the drivers from HP Online (I'll put a link below). Otherwise XP and Vista do not need drivers.
If you go to http://tinyurl.com/9jfyy3 you can select your operating system and it will show you the available downloads for the printer.

HP 930C will not print in color

Have you made sure that the plastic strip covering the cartridge is removed? Also, are both of the cartridges installed? Mine won't print if both aren't installed. Next, you might want to check that (in printer settings) your printer isn't configured to print pure black/greyscale. Otherwise, check the HP Site, they have walkthrough guides on how to print tests directly from your printer. Hope this helps. BurntLime
