I had a similar problem on my 3640 and had to run the clean cycle about 20 or so times. If you feel you are capable, you can also remove the print head and do a manual clean. YouTube has a few videos on how to do it. I have done this to one of my printers with very good success.

Sure, you did install the software that came with the printer on your computer? the Word program can't communicate with the printer, without a spooler program. some drivers and programs have to be installed. If you could print before and you can't anymore we have a different problem. please let me know.
