Lexmark doesn't sell or manufacture replacement hinges. If your printer is still under warranty, please contact our technical support team via phone so they can send you a replacement printer. If not, just remove the hinge and its assembly so you will be able to totally close the cover of the printer and be able to scan from the ADF.

I can't understand your need at all from your post. What do you want? You just only specified about one model number of remote control. Notheing in it about to which device you wants to set it on. If you are in need of Jasco remote control manual, send me a mail at my email address and get it back through the return mail, of give me your exact mail addres to which I should send it it to you. The only people who have the hinge is Dell themselves. I've checked all over. The only parts available are the Center Console Cover & The Back Cover. If the hinge itself is broken, then you will have to send it to DELL. They'll tell you that the whole screen needs to be fixed- just to hike up the price of repair. If you want, you can buy the back cover, which for the most part, will cover the exposed wires on the hinge, but the front of the hinge will still be exposed. What I would love to find is a metal hinge for the DELL Inspiron 1318, like that found in the Dell Studio XPS version. The plastic hinges only guarantee that we will remain loyal customers. Sorry if this didn't help much.

Let me know if you find a source for replacements. In the mean time, I kept my unit working by just removing the broken top half of the hinge.
You have to remove 5 screws using a TORX T10 screwdriver. First remove the small plate covering the back of hinge on the outside. Then remove the two vertical screws at the top of the hinge up under the hinge lip. Then open the cover (be careful to hold it in place so as not to damage the three flex connections between the lid and body) and remove the other two screws at the top of the hinge. Remove the broken top half of the hinge and lower the cover back down. Until you find a replacement hinge, you can put a piece of heavy duty tape on the back where the hinge was.
