Http/1.1 internal server error

Hi, I am trying to access my ebay. Recently i have been unable to log on, it keeps coming up with "bad request invalid verb" or Http 1.1 internal server error. I am not a techie so it will have to be in plain english please!!!!
The funny thing is, sometimes it will let me into my ebay then when i want to look at another page it brings up the error OR i just can't log onto ebay at all. Can someone please help! I had the same problem. Turned out Microsoft Family Safety was the conflict. Once removed, the problem went away.

When using google alot of the sites I try and log into comes up 400 bad request. I can get into some sites but not facebook and some others. Looked up 400 bad request solutions on google but wont open....

This is web server error .The Web server (running the Web site) thinks that the data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) was 'malformed' i.e. did not respect the HTTP protocol completely. So the Web server was unable to understand the request and process it. It almost always means bad programming of the client system and/or the Web server. Trty to check after some time or reset IE setting to default, also try to disable firewall and check. Good Luck.

Http/1.1 internal server error

If you are running two versions of ASP.NET, you may get HTTP:/1.1 500 Internal Server Error when creating a new Web project or opening an existing Web project in Visual Studio.

This problem may occur when IIS is not sure what version of ASP.NET to use or where to locate ASP.NET files. One of the following solutions should fix the problem.

Solution 1.

  1. Remove web.config file from inetpub/wwwroot directory
  2. Go to IIS, Right click on Default web site / All tasks / Check server extensions and let it run
  3. Reset IIS by right click on IIS or call iisreset from Run command

Solution 2.

  1. Install ASP.NET again using the following command from your Run command: C:WINNTMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv1.1.4322aspnet_regiis.exe
Make sure to change the windows folder and ASP.NET version folder with the version what you want to install
  2. Reset IIS

Solution 3. Applies to Windows Server 2003
Note: This is a Microsoft KB article:

When you try to create a new Microsoft ASP.NET 1.1 application after you change the script mapping of the existing ASP.NET 1.1 Web application to ASP.NET 1.0 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web project located at the following URL: 'http://localhost/822319ev1'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because Windows Server 2003 does not allow two versions of ASP.NET to run in the same application pool.
WORKAROUND
To work around the problem, do one of the following:
Restart the IIS before you create a new ASP.NET 1.1 application. At the command prompt type the following command: iisreset
OR -
Create an ASP.NET application in a separate application pool. Create the script-mapped application (ASP.NET 1.0) in a separate application pool -- for example, in the ScriptMapappPool application pool. Then, create a new ASP.NET 1.1 application in an application pool other than ScriptMapappPool. For more information about how to create an application pool, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Configuring Application Pools http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/1kdfe21k(VS.80).aspx

Http/1.1 internal server error

you need to be using Internet Explore 6.0 or better or FireFox 3. These 2 are the most common browser, if you are using something else, then you need to find out from your ISP, if that browser works with their network.
you need to call your Internet provider. the http/1.1 is an error code saying that the Internet Information server is not available.
I don't think you would have a IIS server in your home, therefore, the next best thing is your ISP.
This is the way that you are able to get on to Internet; from your PC you are connected to the modem, from the modem, a signal is send to the IPS and in return the ISP verify that you are who you say you are. If all is verified, then the URL address you typed in will be direct to the website. Then the ISP and the website in contact will be in communication till you switch off or change to another web site.

Http 1.1 internal server error

eBay has been pretty good when I had the occasional glitch; email the problem to their tech support people or call them.
I wanted to give you a link but it contained my info after signing in so try to sign in and choose the Help function and then contact to access the various possibilities.
My account was hijacked a couple of years ago and they worked hard with me over several days to correct the problem without losing my eBay account completely since I didn't want to sacrifice years of 100% ratings.

Http/1.1 internal server error

You may have spyware redirecting your browsing attempts.
You may also have flakey internet settings.
I dobut it has anything to do with your video drivers.
Verify your internet settings. Try to reset internet explorer to its defaults. And the same with firefox. As I am not at my PC right now I cannot walk you through the exact step by step for resetting IE. but instructions for this process can be found at the Microsoft site and are normally harmless to try.
Other then that, I would make sure any antivirus software is functioning properly and try and disable any third party firewalls TEMPORARILY.
Good Luck.

i had the same problem with loading youtube
sometime it appears to be connection failure something like that, sometimes its this problem
and sometime i open the page, BUT the clip shows the video is unavailable.

i searched on the web...
some says:
  • type: about:config in address bar and type ipv6 change the value to true if its false

i tried that didnt work...

  • disabled some add-ons...
didnt work

  • delete the cookies
and it works for me...

i dont really know if the cookies were really the problem... but it appears to be... i may be wrong, maybe its a combination of all these... so try them
