Blue screen with technical information: STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE579D868, 0x00000000, 0xF77E3E4C, 0x00000002)

The computer collapsed. I try to format the hard drive and re-install Windows XP. However, it cannot go through and found another blue screen with technical information: STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE579D868, 0x00000000, 0xF77E3E4C, 0x00000002). How can I fix it? I tried installing xp again but it won't let me through. I tried boot up disks but that didn't work. I tried using a disk to scan the memories but it only gave a missing ntldr error. I'm at a loss at what to do. Help would be much appreciated.

  • Remove all USB attached devices like drives.
  • To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC, open case, and remove all RAM. Test one DIMM at time, one slot at a time.
Re-install Windows. Clean install works best, but all data will be lost.
  • Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Thanks Jose. I have removed all attached cards and original two memory Ram. I put a workable Ram to test each slot at a time. Every time come out the same result of blue screen with same Technical Problem information. Besides, I also have hard drive test and found there is no bad sector. The hard drive has been formated and only left HP partition in the Hard Drive now. Any suggestion?

SOURCE: error message NTLDR missing on formatted hard drive

You need to either reinstall windows, or take the hard drive out, hook it up as a spare drive to a working computer and copy NTDLR to the root of the laptop hard drive. It would be much easier to reinstall windows. You can always use the recovery portion of Windows, but if I were you I would just do a format and reinstall. NTDLR is just a startup file for Windows XP, that does not mean your hard drive is gone or anything. Please don't forget to rate!..Thanks

SOURCE: Intellistation Dreaded "ntldr not found"

You have the solution given the fact that the IBM netloader wants to be subordinant to a loaded OS on a different drive acting as server when used on a thin client like the Intellistation. Unless carried as a portion of the registry of an MS OS, XP or Vista will drop it unless registered with a NetUpdate as a standing part of the registry. But most sysops conduct updates without all clients active so that some will inevitably be dropped, which is why the best strategy is to conduct updates on Off Hours when all clients can be up without human interaction, impossible during the workday, unless you deactivate an entire set of nodes for the purpose.

Run a reregistry while the Intellistation is on and active but without an operator and your problem should disappear more permanently.

My dell latitude D610 laptop keeps blue screening after selecitng the operating system (has 2 downloads of windows XP) and the stop code is "0x0000000A (0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804E7A0A)

Windows XP at this point is very buggy due to lack of support
Try to access your unit in safe mode and see if it works
when powering on press constantly F8 then select safe mode
if you are able to get in - try to save your information
if unable to get in and still getting a blue screen it could be either a system failure or hardware failure

Blue screen appears & keep restarting

It is possible that the malware is to blame, in which case a computer technician will need to sort it out.

I think it may be a bad memory module or loose memory module connection.

Take care!

I have i think a copy of Windows Home edition with service pack 1 which with the online updates has now been updated to service pack 3. Now I want to reformat my computer but when I put the disc in it wont...

You will have to boot from the CD to do what you envision. Put your CD in and turn on the computer ... if it boots from the Hard Drive ... you must go into the BIOS and change the boot priority. You will probably have to hit f2 or f8 or f12 or some other key depending upon your computer manufacturer - during the POST (Power On Self Test). Go to the boot priority screen ... make the CD a riority over the hard drive ... reboot and try again.

Problem of Window XP installation

usually when installation of windows fails is from more than one reason and lets hope that ur hard drive is not damaged (contains bad sectors).
try these steps :
1- use a different windows cd and a different cd rom if u can find one.
2- change the sequense of drives by changing their jumper positions and data cables ( master, slave)
3- try to clear cmos with the jumper located usually near the mainboards battery (short it for 3 seconds)
4- try ( low-level format) to ur hard drive and reinstall windows.

if the message is still seen then your hard drive could be seriously damaged.
