Wii to Philips LCD TV 32"" - sound but no video. Just bought a refurb. Philips LCD TV for our WII. The standard AV cable gave sound, no video. The warning message flashes up in the beginning...

Looks like the AV port in your Philips television is busted. It's the only factor if the Wii is able to function with other tv with the same cable. You can either purchase a new television/get the one you have fixed (these will cost money) or you could just purchase an hdmi cable which doesn't use the same port so it could possibly work with your Philips television.

Menu screen keeps popping up

You can start here: http://www.support.philips.com/support/catalog/catalog.jsp;jsessionid=87CE21B6A8264B83B8D00501ADACA8BF.app107-drp1?_dyncharset=UTF-8&country=&categoryid=FLAT_TV_CA_US_CARE&userLanguage=en&navCount=1&groupId=TV_GR_US_CARE&catalogType=&navAction=push&userCountry=us&title=Flat+TV+(plasma%2C+LCD)

Enter the exact Model Numbere in the search text field.

First verify the exact Model Number of your TV. Mine is a 42PF7220A/37.

go to:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=42PF7220A/37&scy=us&slg=en

On this page I found listed under "Software & drivers" the Firmware Upgrade Software 42PF7220A/37 v1.5.0.0

I downloaded the compressed file and extracted it to a USB Flash Drive2.gif.
After you extract the file you will have 2 files...."autorun.upg" and a "readme.txt".
Print out the readme file the delete it off the USB Flash Drive
Make sure the USB Flash Drive2.gif has only one file on it (autorun.upg)

Then just follow the instructions from the "readme" file.

Fixed the "Menu" problem for me.....

Make sure the TV is turned off.
Put the USB Flash Drive in any of the USB ports on the TV.
Turn the TV power on with the Power Button on the righthand side of the TV.
The TV will display an Update screen.
Let the TV run through all 3 processes.
Turn the TV off and remove the USB Flash Drive.
Power the TV back up.
Hopefully the Updates fixed the problem.....

Philips 37PF7320A Service Manual

service manuals cost around 14.00 online -- you can download a free owners manual from philips.... the flashing lights are a protection code

one flash / pause / two flashes

this means that there is a problem with the software -- this television was probably made in 2006 and in 2007 - they had to supply customers with an upgrade to the software -- you can download it for free on philips/software/support.com

look in the section - drivers/software---- put it on a thumb drive and install into the USB port on the right side of the television--- the television will come on and scan for the software----
