Hello, I've got a problem with my Philips 32 inch LCD TV - Model No. 32PFL3505D/F7B. My problem is the following: after toggling on the power, the "stand-by" light will light up white as the TV attempts to power on normally, then the Philips splash screen will come on and then the TV just shuts down completely - no picture, no sound, no power.
The TV's power shuts off before the firmware update can even begin. It only stays on for under 5 seconds. The TV's power shuts off before the firmware update can even begin. It only stays on for under 5 seconds.

You have a shorted Diode in the power supply board. The power supply board has a 110 volt AC cord attached to it. Locate diode D621. It will be near the red, black and white wires attached to the inverter board. Snip this diode on one end and lift it just to clear the board. You may cut the other end and remove (don't have to). Do not try to tear the diode out or you will destroy the board. The TV will operate fine without this diode. Replace your ac fuse (4 AMP, GMA fast blow fuse ). You just repaired your TV. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV.
I assume you are referring to the ac fuse, it is located on the power supply board. Just follow the ac power cord and it should lead you to it. If your set doesn't have a built in power cord, the fuse will be next to the power cord connector.
this sounds like a screen fault to me try grabbing both sides of the tv and giving it a twist this will either give you more lines or make ur lines go away if this happens u need a new screen
The code to try is 11454. It will work in a limited fashion. It will make the
volume buttons usable. But to power on/off the tv, you will need to slide the
top button from DirecTV to tv and then hit the power button.
The buzzing sound comes from transformers on the PSU. The transformers can be sealed using a sealant spray which dries and hardens. You can also check your picture settings in the menu, if there is a "vivid" option, pick it and your buzzing will not be heard.
