2002 Chrysler town and country power window issue

The passenger window will go down fine. It goes up a 1/4 of the way then stops. If I give it a few minutes it may budge a 1/2 inch up again. Then the same until it finally gets to the top. S going up seems to be the problem. It seems to have power to the motor though. I've heard maybe the window regulator. Any ideas?

Take the window down all the way and spray soapy water in the window sealing tracks if it goes up easy thats where the binding is. some times with age the rubber comes loose and will cause a bind. peeling window tint sheeting will cause this as well, worst case mechincal problems in regulator or drive motor

SOURCE: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Passenger side window problem.

HAVEK 1005 sounds right on track.... but also try this, usually works well for non functional power windows, specially Caravans.

NO COST PROCEDURE TO FIX IT:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.
7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

NOW, for the naysayers that says you must replace power window motors etc, at $$$ cost because the above fix does not work, or is not long lasting fix, or less than a "professional fix".... Well then, when the window fails to operate again, apply same fix again at that time.

I have fixed my van this way numerous times (usually once a year), and to all local friends I recommend this fix too, likewise do the same and are happy with the solution.

Neither front windows work at the master switch but passenger side works only on the passenger side . I replaced the master switch and same thing . 2008 Chrysler Town and Country

Friend of mine had a similar issue. Turned out to be frayed and broken wires in the rubber door jamb boot. You'll need to trace it down using a meter or test light.

Window problems

sounds pretty cut and dry if that is the only issue. the pass door window switch is bad. you can some times get them to work by rapidly pressing the window switch up and down for a few seconds but that will only temporarily fix the issue. hope that helps

I rwplaced the drivers side power window regulator and it goes down fast enough but does strains to go up

The regulator maintains (or regulates) the position of the glass as it goes up or down. The power window motor works less going down because of the weight of the glass, whereas going up if the motor's weak, it'll slow going up and will usually overheat and stop while raising the window if its in need of replacement.

Passenger side window stopped working, is this a fuse problem? Driver's side is still functional.

It's not a fuse issue. Can you roll the window to the passenger side down with the drivers side panel? If you can then the control panel on the passenger side needs replaced. If you can't then the regulator/motor/tract for the window on the passenger side would need to be addressed.
