HP L7555 My HP L7555 is printing backwards. Any ideas? HP L7580 prints photos backwards (reverse image) - followed the Printing Wizard prompts; it then asks if you want the image to show before printing, i click yes and it is shown reverse image with the only choice left is to either print or cancel.

I also had this problem; I did go look for the mirror image item and it was off; I then simply printed again and it came out the next time, but I didn't do anything different. It later again did the same thing...wasted biz card stock, but still don't know why it works once then not!???

When you select "Print" and get the print window to confirm....select "Preferences". On the Advanced or Effects tab, look for the "Mirror Image" menu item. Turn it Off. If you cannot find it, comment back.

(BTW, the Mirror Image option is normally used to print t-shirt transfers.)

When I print pics off my pic file, the pic comes out in a mirror image? I am using a HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One Printer. Also when I try to print 4x6 pics from my files using proper HP paper, it tells...

Hello,

When you go to print something next time, click on Preferences on the Print window. Click on the Advanced tab. There should be a Mirror Image choice and it probably says ON. Click on the ON and change it to OFF with the drop-down menu. Click OK. That should correct the mirror image problem.

As for the paper, I have a hard time printing on 4X6 paper too. Seems to be a common problem with HP. If you would like to accept the mirror image solution and post a separate on, you should get another expert to help you.

In the meantime I will try to research it further.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Printing Backwards

You must have the Mirror image option turned on.

Open a document and select File>Print.

When the Print window opens, select the "Preferences" or "Properties". button.

Click on the Advanced tab. Look for the Mirror Image option. If it says "On", click on it and you will get a drop down menu to change it to "Off".

(BTW, the Mirror Image is used for printing iron-on transfers.)

Printing

You may not get the print option in C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents/My Pictures, to print from there you shold highlight the picture you want to print then right click on the same you shoul see a option as print left click on it and follow the Photo Printing Wizard and make sure you have the right options selected to your desired printing preferences for paper type and size.
If not open the picture in HP Image Zone, HP Photosmart essential or HP Photosmart Premier as it comes installed in you HP Pavlion compter and then try printing from there.

Good Luck
