Xmenu.dat error I just got Ncard and downloaded games for my kids, but after deleting a few and adding the new ones, it went white and show message above. error!xmenu.dat error! please help me fix this, I am not too good with computer though. I downloaded the xmenu file as suggested on Fixya, but not sure what to do nect, since my comp can t open it.

Probably the xmenu.dat is deleted. Best way is to copy all the games (.nds files) and the log files (.sav files) to your computer, reformat the card and copy back the games from your pc to your card.

Did you try resetting th unit?

when you put ncard it just says xmeu error

Format the card inside the DS:
Hold select+start while starting up normally,
a format menu appears, choose quick format.
After that put "xmenu.dat" back on the card (+games)
Fixed....

A card with severe damage may need a full format.

my fire card did the same to me, you have loaded a virus infected game on your card, you cant get it fixed, ive tried everythin so i called the call centre and they basically said its screwed, sorry im afraid you will have to get a new one or if possible a replacement

I did have Error: Data is not align 16k! when i start up my ds.
What I did was..

All the files you need are at www.neoflash.com.
Your need (MK5) v1.45 which is in the download section.

Some of the nds roms do needed unraring before putting on memory card. They should be in .nds format etc.

The files you need are...

DSYSTEM (Entire Folder And Contents

MK5_PassMe.nds
xmenu.dat

When you have these files THEN you can format by...

Please insert both cards in to the DS and power up, tap the screen to continue as you would for any normal game.

You will then come to the menu "USB Mode" and "Menu Mode"
Instead of selecting one please press and hold the "select button" on the DS then tap "start"

Select "Quick Format"
Once complete restart the DS, you will have to tap the screen as above and this time select" USB MODE"

By formatting the menu file will have been deleted from internal Memory and will need replacing with the files. downloaded from neoflash.com

listen,i'm confused on your question.but i'll still help.don't turn off your ds on and off.that may shorten the life,which means you'll spend more time charging then playing,also don't take out your game card while your ds is on.save your game,go to the main menu and turn it off.once it is off you can take the card out.if this is not helpful call the nintendo customor support center number 1-800-255-3700.
