My psp freezes at one point in the game. thought it was the game so i tried my other baseball game and it freezes in the same spot. I cant exit game and go on to the next

you'd first have to downgrade your psp. try to lower it to 3.50 or 4. something. then insert the .pbp file... this file is a hack.. or an upgrader for a psp.. once you do this.. your psp will be back to version 5.03 but now you can play downloadable games.
Please check you update. If your update is low, you must upgrade it to 3.52 m33 then download a firmware 3.70 m33 or higher to get the m33 recovery.
As your PSP start press SELECT and you can see a menu then go to "UMD ISO MODE" from "normal" change it to "Sony NP9660" then exit.
Now enjoy playing ISO or CSO game. Happy playing.
Can you see anything on start up for this game? If previously playing another game, did you exit correctly before loading the new game? Try inserting the last game successfullt played, test it, then sexit and try the new game again.
bet you are playing on a slim, turn of the umd cache in system settings then the problem stops perhaps the game (driver 76) doesnt support the umd cache system using the extra ram in the psp slim

It sounds like you may have a defective game disc. Try cleaning it if you haven't already. If that doesn't work then it might not be the right format(PAL,NTSC). If you live in Europe you won't be able to play North American games and vise versa. If not that, then try reformatting your memory card through the system settings on your psp.
