There are a few things that you will need to check. The first thing would be to make sure that the daisy wheel has been properly inserted. Better yet, how about if I send you the manual, that way, you can go step-by-step to ensure the fullest adherence to what the manual step are. If you aren't in a language mode or KBII the printwheel homing pawl is probably broken. You need a tech.

You will need to replace the daisy wheel.

You do'nt say what sort of machine it is. If it's Electronic check the print wheel for damage. If that's ok it sounds like a board problem. If it's an IBM 11 or 111 it could be rotation problems.

make sure the correction tape and ribbon are in properly between the metal fingers and the card holder. turn machine on and off. if it still doesn't work it needs professional help

Hi there. Take out the printwheel and see if any of the spokes are bent. That would cause wrong letters. . Also if the print solenoid(piston) does not go in and out freely. Lawrence

look for kb1 and kb 2 or your pitch is selected at ps instead of 10 or 12

Sounds like the wheel is out of alignment. I had this problem with the one I recently purchased for my daughter. Release the tension on the ribbon and head. Pull the wheel cartridge out and line up the letters. Put the wheel back and reapply tension. Repeat until it is aligned. Took me a couple tries to get it working, but its working and seems to be stable.
