WD60C9 turns off and on

TV periodically flicks off for a few seconds then back on. This comes and goes. Won't do it for days, and then does it every 10 minutes or so.

You should be able to do the self check if it has one it will be in the owners manual---something that happens only for a few seconds could be anything from the TV to a cable or Sat box if used.

SOURCE: mitsubishi DLP overheating

Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.

No parts are needed. You need to resolder the DY connectors on all the yokes.

WD60C9 turns off for a few seconds

It is possible since the set intakes air from front and exhausts it from the rear you have a dirt buildup inside.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

I hope that you can use the warrantee.

Otherwize, it must be possible to repair it with a fried comfortable with electronic because the problem is not permanent. This kind of problem is usually an old capacitor or a bad connection (soldering).
It would be important to check if changing the ambiant temperature fixes the problem. (I.E. move it to the seller for 2h and try..)

Good day!

If your TV is CRT the problem could be the ply-back.
Try to replace the ply-back of your TV to fix that problem
