Remove the battery and try to run your notebook on the adapter itself.....does it work....does the light do the same

Reinstall the battery...please verify that its locked in place..there is a small lock catcher verify that its at the lock position....connect power adaptor switch on...

Toshiba satellite p55t-a5202 laptop hibernates then wont turn on

I have had the same problem with my toshiba p55t-a5202 from best buy took it in 2xs then was without a comp for weeks. The 3rd time I just took out 14 screws on bottom(do not loose them) carefully removed bottom cover (push in and up at sides to remove) then found battery. I followed the wires to the middle slightly larger white plug. Then took a very small screw diver and pushed down gently in the flat spot while pulling gently to disconnect the plug. The side lights went out. Then pluged it back in the same way I took it out. I put all screws back on the bottom cover. Pluged it back in and turned it on and whallaa! My lap top was working and I didn't have to be without it for weeks!! I like this comp but will NEVER buy another one with an internal battery. I guess til the next time it not responsive! Ugh! Goodluck!

I have a similar problem with my toshiba equium A100 - 027. Power is reaching the machine but the screen is blank. the machine was working fine when it was closed down on Monday. What do I do?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Problem: A100 flashing Amber light but won't turn

Check your charger. It seems to indicate low batery and the charger may not work or the power socket has a faulty connection. Check for phisical damage in the power socket of you laptop.
Try to twist it or even push it in a bit while trying to switch on. Try also to remove the baterry and use the charger power supply only.
If nothing happens its very likely to be the charger.

Toshiba Laptop not charging

So confusing...Laptop AC Adapter nowadays has AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE, meaning it doesn't matter if it is 110v or 220v. Maybe you've got a FAULTY BATTERY. Remove the battery and plug in your AC Adapter to outlet and to your laptop and try to power-on.

Laptop monitor goes black

If you're working on the computer when that happens, it's not probably a power setting. Try to update your BIOS to the most current version at the toshiba support website (support.toshiba.com) & see what happens. Fixes the issue most of the time

I hope this helps.
