I have had the same problem with my toshiba p55t-a5202 from best buy took it in 2xs then was without a comp for weeks. The 3rd time I just took out 14 screws on bottom(do not loose them) carefully removed bottom cover (push in and up at sides to remove) then found battery. I followed the wires to the middle slightly larger white plug. Then took a very small screw diver and pushed down gently in the flat spot while pulling gently to disconnect the plug. The side lights went out. Then pluged it back in the same way I took it out. I put all screws back on the bottom cover. Pluged it back in and turned it on and whallaa! My lap top was working and I didn't have to be without it for weeks!! I like this comp but will NEVER buy another one with an internal battery. I guess til the next time it not responsive! Ugh! Goodluck!

Toshiba P55t-A5202 bios

Go to web site and see if you can download a Cmos bios for the chip along with the program with which to do same. Those things are never guaranteed to work - glad I do not have your problem.

Remove battery p55t-a5202

after you turn it off, unplug the adapter, close the display and turn it over. You will want to have a small jeweler's flat blade screwdriver, or similar, to pry out the 14 small rubber plugs from the screw holes. Then you'll need a #1 Phillip's-head screwdriver to remove the 14 screws. Carefully separate the bottom cover. There you will see the battery. It is plugged into J6001. It is held in by 4 screws and some wires that are taped/dressed to it.
