My RCA tv every once in a while turns itself off and on until it's unplugged. How do I fix that from happening?

There is some shorted components on the main board to your tV. Just check its horizontal output transistor for collector to emitter leak. Just desolder this transistor out from the baord, and switch ON the TV. If the power supply indicator light lights up steadly, make sure that this transistor is shorted. Before replacing this transistor, LOT must be suspected. if LOT has internal winding short, this faull will happen again.

the problem is there is engaged button there..only technician can do the job by replacing the button that is always engage.

SOURCE: My RCA TruFlat 27F520T 27" TV started acting up.

The buttons on the tv are the problem. I clipped the prongs on one of mine and fixed it .Just use the remote now

try unplugging the tv overnight, then plugging it in when you want to watch it.

i guess there is some safety switch on the processor inside the tv itself that kicks itself on...stupid.

How do you unlock your TV from Protective Mode? There is a certain code that you need in order to unlock the Television. The technicians are saying that it went into Protective Mode, when it umplugged all by itself. I need the code so I can watch my TV again.

This sounds like a PSU fault. Since ther is no way to determine your expertise then the best solution is to call an engineer.
