The illumenated front display ahs become very dim and hard to see. The one with the time, TV station, recording time etc on it. Can I open the case and make an adjustment inside?

Set your TV to channel 3 or 4. Then press TV/VCR which is above the button on the bottom right of the remote. Then you can tune in TV stations from the unit.

The hard disk in the unit may be full. Try deleting some of the old recorded TV programs you don't need and see if DVD will burn.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

I opened the case and there is no adjustmment. So I mounted a LED on the front to indicate power on/off. Drill a hole to take a miniature LED and holder just above the LG logo on the Left side. Connect wires on to the fan wiring. The fan switches on and off when the power is switched on/off and the LED will indicate. If anyone wants further details on exactly how to do it., leave a coment.
