Water Remaining in Drum "OE" info in the screen comes on

Hello, Are the clothes still soaked? Have you moved the drain hose higher? Is the drain hose kinked? It is not at all uncommon for some water to remain below the drum.

There is most likely a blockage between Pump and house drain pipe.

Do you see a lot of sudds? Do you put anything in for the clean ? Operator error LG washers are great but can be touchy

Possible that there is dirt in the drum that comes up when the drum revolves. This can be due to dirt that had accumulated within and needs to be removed. Please try to watch this link and get some tips to clean the drum.

might be a bad drain pump

The problem is in the drain system as what error code OE stands for.The grinding noise is coming from the drain pump. Loose change, hair pins and the likes can get into the pump filter and sometimes into the pump impeller causing a grinding noise during the spin cycle because the pump works while the machine is spinning. The pump impeller may also be broken causing the grinding noise.

Disconnect power then open the filter door on the bottom left of the cabinet.


Remove the drain plug and drain the water out completely into a shallow basin or the likes. Once drained, lay a piece of towel under the filter then turn the filter knob counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the filter and reach in the pump impeller to check it if blocked or broken. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, you need to access the drain pump assembly and check the pump particularly the impeller thoroughly. Hi dear.OE code meaning on Lg washer's"machine unable to drain in 10minutes". You can make a little test.Please remove the filter & pour some water in side drum ,watch for water coming out of filter.If it's slow, tub to pump hose clogged.(there must be some sort of fluff or coin clogging hose)if it's not slow,waters comes out freely, run machine on drain cycle & check the pump motor is it running smoothly?If not change the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.

You need to ensure pump is fully clean this can take a number of times flushing out/ cleaning filter...Check feed hose to pump

The door should be locked closed when a cycle begins.. If you have never cleaned the filter then there is a good chace it is blocked up and water cannot drain in the normal manner so I would examine and address that first. If I've helped you resolve your problem, please input the appropriate rating .. Good Luck...

I think your "OE" is really a "DE" or drain error. Open the access door on the lower left of the front panel on the machine, drain the remaining water with the small drain hose there, and unscrew and remove the larger thing, which is a filter. Clean filter. If filter was not blocked, check for loose impeller on drain pump motor, which requires replacement of drain pump motor. (just sticking it back on will result in it coming off again)
