Each time TV is turned on, wavy lines about 1 inch apart vertical top to bottom of screen appear and then slowly fade. At first they faded in matter of a minute; now 2 months later it takes 30 minutes and picture starting to not get fully clear even after that time. Is there an easy fix or affordable fix, or is the TV history? Is it worth getting repaired by TV repairman?

There is a large metal case behind the input board in the back of the set called the hyper board that needs to be replaced.Good Luck

you are probably having 2 problems. on that model there was a jumper wire the fed the convergence amps power and would get very bad cracked solder. and casue some fuses to open on the main deflection board. if that is there i would recomend replacing the 2 convergence amps(stk392-110) and open fuses. but your wavy lines are going to be all the 10mf16v surface mount capacitors inside the hyperunit(figital scan card) it is a square metal case located behind the input board.*****it is soldering in with 4 tabs on the bottom side of the signal board so be careful not to just start pulling on it to get it out*****
