You have a blocked drain in the freezer.when the machine gets cold ice forms on the evap. coil that's located in the freezer and behind the inside freezer wall.when the machine goes into defrost the heater comes on and melts the ice off of the coil and it drains through the hole under the evap coil and then runs down to where the compressor is and then evaporates from the heat of the compressor and condenser coil, your drain is blocked so the water is now draining onto the floor.use a hair dryer to melt out the bottom draw if it's frozen in,remove it and look at the back wall,if you can't see the drain hole you'll have to remove the back inside wall of the freezer,to get at it,also unplug the machine or shut it down, you don't want to be blowing warm air into the machine or you'll have another problem the air ducts will freeze up.keep heating the drain hole with the hair dryer and any other ice you see,i use a steemer to clear the drain line but if you don't have a steemer you have to get something to push air through the drain like a turkey baster or similar, also 1/4 inch plastic hose like the kind you use on a fish tank works good, you can snake it through the drain line, when you think the drain is clear pour hot water into the hole if it drains through you're done if not keep hitting it with heat and use the turkey baster to try and push whatever is in there out to clear it,then pour hot water until it drains.it usually will take around 30 to 40 minutes to do this but with a steemer i get it done in around 10 to 15 minutes, good luck

I have a HOOVER NEXTRA A CLASS Frost Free fridge freezer. Its about 5 years old and recently i have discovered small pools of water forming under it on the floor. They appear to be coming from a drip but...

It is not leaking, it has a heater for self defrosting to keep the freexer from building to much ice... Cause... you are leaving the doors open too long... and humidity is getting in it.

Water driping inside from ice maker

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

After it defrosts at night, water on floor, ice cubes melted.

I didn't fix it yet, but I found another website that provides MUCH more educational information without charging for it. So I now have a much better idea of what the solution might be, and some things to try.

Water driping on top shelfe from freezer,

The drain most likely was blocked by food debris and the water from defrost cycle had no where to go...unplug refridge...chip some of the ice along the bottom carefully or use heat gun to melt ice...when the tube becomes exposed put some hot water in the drip pan..this should help the ice melt in the drain tube....use a straw or curtain wire to clear blockage...you should see the water suddenly drain down tube...put everything back together...this is not a temp issue but more a blockage issue.

Frigidaire, ice on floor of freexer

check to see if the defrost drain is not frozrn over or stopped up
this is the only way that water can get into the freezer
frost could and melt but dont think that i would check the drain at the bottom of the rear freezer panel if you see ice it is stopped up for sure
if all is clear there go to the ice maker, have had some that are overfilling and runnig over the ice maker into the bottom of the freezer
