GE GSH25KGMBWW REFRIGERATOR WON'T GET COLD AFTER REPLACING SOLENOID

I replaced the ice door solenoid, and in doing so I left off the ice and water circuit board for several days and now the fridge wont get cold enough. I followed the controls adjustments as called out in the service manual, one number down per every 12 hrs. There is no defrost problem and the fridge, I think sounds to be operating ok. Help please, thank you

The ref is iced up because of the ice door being left open, you will have to manually defrost the ref by leaving it open for 7-8 hours, put you food somewhere else.

GE Side by Side Refrigerator model GSS25jfpa cc. No water to icemaker. Replaced the ice maker and the dual solenoid water valves. Still no water to ice maker? Water to door works fine.

if you can reverse the solenoid valve wire connections, then use the door water fill to activate this valve, but not long as it will overfill the icemaker, this will certify that theres water getting up to the icemaker, then it could be the maker itself not activating the icemakers water valve assy to fill the maker

GE GSCS3PGX ice maker not getting water

your dual stage water valve in the lower back behind the lower panel on the right side has a bad solenoid on the water side especially if you still get water to the door where the ice comes out, check its continuity,if its open or very high replace it,another test is,if you have compression screw on fittings reverse them and press the water fill switch on the door,if you then get water at the ice maker then for sure the valve solenoid is bad

Model 253.54673304 water is not dispensing from door.ice is ok. both circuit boards were changed.new filter installed .ice is being made and dispensed.all 3 motor are working, but no water from dispenser.

You replaced motors? Did you replace the water solenoids on the back of the Fridge also?Sounds like you have either a wire or 2 disconnected from your cold water solenoid in back of the box, or your refrigerator compartment is freezing at the bottom and blocking your water flow to the cold water valve. Your cold water tank is located at or near the back and bottom of your refrigerator.

I've got a GE side by side refrigerator that's approx.7 years old. This past weekend, I resolved the problem of not getting water out of the cold water dispenser. After replacing the two-way water solenoid...

Check around the door gasket to see if gasket pulls off or is it held on by screws if there are screws you can separate the door and insulate the tube if no screws than replacing the door is the only repair.

GE GSS25 continuely has frost on cube chute preventin cubes from discharging. Have had doors replaced under recall but problem came back.

I had the exact same problem. My neighbor has the same refrigerator, and told me that there is a solenoid in the door, behind the panel where you select between water, crushed or cubed ice. You can carefully remove that panel to expose the solenoid, which is on the right side of the dispenser water line. I have the model GE GSS25. The plunger on the solenoid gets rusty buildup on the outside of it from the moisture and water splashing from the dispenser. You might try wiping the exterior of the solenoid, and working it up and down so that it moves freely. If not, it's a cheap replacement part you can order from GE. The solenoid shuts the trap door which opens when you get ice from the dispenser. If the solenoid plunger does not move freely, then the trap door hangs open, and warm moist air enters the freezer through the ice shute, causing frost.

Ge gsl25jfrfbs water disoenser not working

Solenoid or the dispenser switch.

The water supply line connects to a water valve on the Ref. this water valve has two solenoids, one for the ice maker and one for the water in the door. Check this solenoid with an OHM meter.

The dispenser switch should send 110 volts to the solenoid. Check at the solenoid while pushing the water switch in the door.

GE Refrigerators - Water dispenser not working ? I

remove front grill then disconnect the water line at the quick connector. Place line on right side into container and push lever for water. If no water flows the problem is a solenoid on the left side of the back of refrig behind lower panel. If water flows into container the problem is related to freezing of the water line in the freezer door. GE fix is a $500 plus door replacement. Thaw from back of door behind the dispenser with hair dryer (do not get plastic too hot). Cheap fix is to insulate back of door with insulation such as a foam sleeping bag mat or the foil and bubble wrap type of ducy insulation

Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.
