you need to get operating system on CD/DVD/USB and install it, if you don't want to pay for OS, download Ubuntu from: http://www.ubuntu.com/download, there's guide on how to copy it onto CD/USB, Ubuntu is very easy to use, free, with lot of great apps available

You can obtain a free nero burning rom 9 download and a serial key emailed to your email from ahead software / nero by signing up to the free trial - this will let you use the software legally as a trial for around 15 days, during this time you can burn dvd, cd and other media for free.

After the trial is over, you must purchase the program, if you can't afford the program and if you want to get it cheaper than what they are asking for it, buy a new CD/DVD burner that has nero software included those generally cost around 20 to 30 $ from www.newegg.com

if you can't afford that either, then there are free alternatives to nero. For example cdburnerxp is a great program that will get the job done, it will burn your cd and dvds for free. Download -http://cdburnerxp.se/

Generally speaking most recent versions of Windows don't require additional drivers for CD\DVD burners to function. If you're looking for software to actually burn cd's then there are a number of freeware options out there (Google Free CD/DVD Burning Software), or you can pick up more advanced software locally at stores such as BestBuy.

I have a new laptop computer. I want to download the LexmarkX73 printer software to the new computer.
Here's your page, with a caution. I only see a Windows driver package for XP. Your printer may not be supported in Vista or W7. There's a link in Red lettering at the top of the Download box referring to W7 support. Take your time making sure you'll have compatibility.

Printer Lexmarkx73 to be installed vithout a disk.
Not at all. May I recommend a visit to the Lexmark website Support page ?
This will help you find the necessary drivers (software) and information, so that you can install your printer even if you don't have a CD.

Got a printer from a friend dont have printer software for lexmarkX73
If you do not have the disk you download software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructionsbelowto reset and reinstall:


  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website and run the file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note: some printer does not work on Vista.

Lost cd to install printer
Hello,
You can download the drivers from this website:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:94:0:0&emeaframe=&fileID=565&searchLang=en&os_group=WinXP

Unplug the printer and then start the installation, the installation will tell you when to plug in printer.
