HP 2600 series scaner/printer

How do I take my 2600 series scaner/printer apart to clean the inside glass?

Same with the V750. The plastic casing outgasses and deposits a coating on the inside of the scanner, like our dashboards do on our windshields. Kind of dumb to pay for 'coated optics' when the platten glass isn't even clear!

I haven't figured that out yet either, if you find out, let me know.

Epson Perfection 1260 , glass has a yellow deposit all over, ruins picture quality. Blah.

I can only find the 1 screw in the back left corner and that doesn't loosen it enough to get inside. The scanner is worthless with this film on the glass.

Hp leserjet pro 400 mfp scaner error 52

The scanner initialization did not pass it seems. Try cleaning the glass and white background.

If that doesn't work, the scanner bulb may be faulty - try replacing it.

Comments: Oct 06, 2009 - NO, never use cotton ear buds, sometimes they landed some fibers to the mirrors and you will get bad image :)

I have problem with the left side of the page - Color faded

This is a common fault on this model. The solution is to strip out the laser scanner unit. The laser scanner can be reached by removinh the back metal cover of the printer and the controll boards behind it. You need to clean the mirrors inside the laser scanner, for this you can use surgical spirits and cotton ear buds.Hope this helps. Any other queries, you can mail me [email protected]
