Same with the V750. The plastic casing outgasses and deposits a coating on the inside of the scanner, like our dashboards do on our windshields. Kind of dumb to pay for 'coated optics' when the platten glass isn't even clear!Same with the V750. I can only find the 1 screw in the back left corner and that doesn't loosen it enough to get inside. The scanner is worthless with this film on the glass.

open all the screws remove the cover over the glass & over from scanner assembly, take out the scanner assembly from printer .
After removing the scaner *** open them & clean inside ,reflecting mirrors & lence by a soft cotton refix them as open,
Note one thing the home position sencor situated as white strip insidephase of flatebed scaner clean also then .

Oct 06, 2009 - NO, never use cotton ear buds, sometimes they landed some fibers to the mirrors and you will get bad image :)
This is a common fault on this model. The solution is to strip out the laser scanner unit. The laser scanner can be reached by removinh the back metal cover of the printer and the controll boards behind it. You need to clean the mirrors inside the laser scanner, for this you can use surgical spirits and cotton ear buds.Hope this helps. Any other queries, you can mail me [email protected]
