How do I take my 2600 series scaner/printer apart to clean the inside glass?

- I can only find the 1 screw in the back left corner and that doesn't loosen it enough to get inside. The scanner is worthless with this film on the glass. - Guest

- Same with the V750. The plastic casing outgasses and deposits a coating on the inside of the scanner, like our dashboards do on our windshields. Kind of dumb to pay for 'coated optics' when the platten glass isn't even clear!- symbiotical
