Hi i have a lexmark x5470 all-in-one printer and on the little screen it keeps telling me that it cannot retrieve the application list, could you please tell me what this means. Thank You.

First you need to reinstall the drivers in your computer if your getting same error then ,You need to reinstall the drivers from the website as they are the latest drivers to overcome this issue.....

Updated x5470 from vista to Windows 7 ultimate - driver required for printer

You will need to uninstall the existing driver first before installing the Windows 7 driver. Follow steps in this article: How to Uninstall Lexmark Printers. Reboot pc when prompted.
When pc turns on, check if your Windows is running on 32-bit or 64-bit System Type. Go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Take note of the System Type.

Lexmark Scanner - "cannot retrieve application list" Won't Scan - HELP please!

Microsoft Paint ----> 'File' ------> 'From scanner or camera' (when in scan mode on printer). Just tried this and it really works.

Choose your operating system from the list, and download.

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. Only plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.
