Kodak5300 Printer I put in new ink and now it will not print.

printer was working fine. ink ran low. I installed new black and color cartridge, nothing printed. I ran basic clean, then deep clean, and the best I can get is a couple of very light marks on the paper.I removed the new color ink cartridge and looked at the bottom. the yellow ink has a blue or black circle where it sits on printhead.

I have done the same things but have also updated the firmware on the printer. Is there a way to take the head out and clean it?

Hello, our C66 printer won't print. It has been unused for about 2 years, we've put all new ink cartridges in, downloaded the latest drivers, and nothing gets printed. You can go through all the test...

The most likely cause is the print head nozzles are blocked with dried ink and inserting new ink cartridges won't fix this problem. You need a new print head.
Print heads are not cheap, you may be better putting your money towards a new printer.

New printer head and still won't print black

Try this one, Turn on the printer, Take out the inks, remove the printhead, put back the printhead make sure it will snap and you hear a click, put the inks back, wait for the printer to initialize, Press the Menu button, look for Calibrate printer, then print calibration page, then scan it after. Load a regular paper. Then try to print a demo page by pressing Photo and Copy at the same for 5 seconds then let it go. If same problem persist call this no for further assistance 1800 421 6699

Bought new ink but photos arent printing.

It is more than likely the print head itself. It seems to be a problem with these printers.

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.
