NEC SuperScript 1260 Laser Printer Questions & Answers
I recently acquired an NEC
The NEC SuperScript 1260 has a parallel printer port. So you would need a parallel to usb adapter. These aren't very expensive; depending on the brand and length you'll pay between $8 and $15. See https://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Parallel-Converter-10-6-10-9-TU-P1284/dp/B0007T27HS or https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Parallel-Printer-Adapter-CB-CN36/dp/B00IDU0T1Y Alternatively, if you have a desktop, you can find a PCI or PCI-e add-on card with a parallel port, depending on the slots available in the system. These will be closer to $20 to $30. Then you need a standard parallel printer cable. Many computer parts sites, including Amazon.com, will have both.
A bigger problem may be the printer drivers. NEC did not update the drivers after Windows XP. (Some XP drivers will work under Vista.) NEC doesn't supply the drivers on their site:
https://support.necam.com/Printers/Drivers/ . They refer you to the original driver CD that came with the printer. A few sites may have these drivers online. However, I haven't seen a link to a known trust-worthy site with the XP driver.
I hope this helps. Please add a comment if you need more information.

Looking for a 1260 print driver for Windows 7? I
I would say yes... Miracle. You can attempt (if this printer will support HP emulation) and I think it does. Simply, choose the "HP Laserjet 4" driver (as generic as possible) you may be able to get it to print.
Driver for Vista, Windows 2007
This has been a problem since XP. However I found that if you install HP Laserjet IIp drivers the printer WILL work in Vista! You won't have all functions but at least it is very suable. Hope this helps!
NEC projector M322X indicates light but cannot turn on
Based on the information provided, it is possible that there may be an issue with the projector's power button or internal components. It is recommended to try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the power source: Ensure that the projector is properly plugged into a working power outlet and that the outlet itself is functioning correctly.
2. Reset the projector: Some projectors have a reset button or option in the settings menu. Try resetting the projector to see if this resolves the issue.
3. Check for internal issues: If the above steps do not work, there may be an issue with the projector's internal components. It is recommended to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.
In summary, if a NEC projector indicates light when plugged into a power source but does not turn on when the power button is pressed, it may be due to issues with the power source, internal components, or other factors. Troubleshooting steps such as checking the power source and resetting the projector may help resolve the issue, but professional assistance may be required if these steps do not work.
NEC NP310 projector, can I replace the fan?
Your statement indicates'there is a fan issue'.
It may just require cleaning but may need replacing. Nothing to do with the lamp, unless it has overheated and also needs replacing.
