Well, depends on how you are downloading the file. If you are testing it with your browser (IE or Firefox) then they only allow 2 connections when downloading, so that is why. Have you configured your torrent client to accept more than the defualt "half-open-limit". This changes the tcpip.sys file to accept up to 200 connections if you can apply this in your OS, I have XP Pro with SP3 so I am able to do that. Look around on your torrent client's forums. Also it may very well be your ISP bottlenecking your bandwidth.

have you rebooted your modem after you plugged in your router? remember, your modem picks up you computer's ip address and stays with that address until it gets powered off and on. then it gets the ip address of whatever device you have plugged in to. if you plugged your router to your modem without power cycling the modem, then you won't connect other devices wirelessly because it does not recognize the ip address.

Firstly the URL Address for the config page is http://192.168.0.1 When you first connect to the config page it will ask for a username and password!

Greg, Not yet. We dont give up so soon. May be that the poweron switch is faulty. Replace it and see if it works.

What saved password? The wireless key? Windows doesn't care about your router, it has no conception of what it is and does not identify it at all. Cloning MAC adddresses is not a good idea, can cause ARP problems and stop connections.
As long as you use the same wireless key and SSID on the new router it will work fine.

acoording to the manual of a simlar router,

you need to set the SSID to name the network

then create a Pre-Shared Key, now insert the cd on the machine you wish to connect to this network , if you have no CD give me the model number of the Wireless stick then hopefully we can get a driver, if you insert the hardware it may not pick a driver or it may pick a driver that will not work correctly so disconnect the wireless stick, install the driver then when prompted insert the stick , the driver will be on the CD otherwise give me the model number or goto google and search on that model

Please hard reset the router...look for the small tiny button at the back of the router for about 10 seconds. then logon to router by http://192.168.1.1 leave username blank for password "admin" as the default.

Reset the router, Theres usually a push button on the back of it to reset it's cmos back to default. Then the instructions included should work. If not, you can always use John the ripper (linux) or cain and able (windows) to crack into it.

Double check all the steps in th user guide to set up the router. You can download the manual from the link below: http://www.viewsonic.com/pdf/userguides/wr100-1_ug_eng.pdf You should be connected directly to the router by an ethernet cable. Do you see the led on the router for the port you are connected to lit to show you have a connection? Have you configured your PC to get it's IP address by DHCP from the router? Your address should be 192.168.1.100. Check the status of your PC lan connection in the "network connections" screen. Can you ping the router on 192.168.1.1? If this fails try resetting the router by pressing the small button on the back & try again. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

FIRST WE DO NORMAL AND LATER TRUE CAUSE. gee that is normal on all monitors and by Energy Star laws too. the monitor if the PC is dead or in speed mode, shuts of in 15 to 90 seconds, all do, every one. the monitor has self sleep, all do. everyone ever made did. even back to CRT days. and the OSD button goes dead after. that. too. fooling the untrained. here is the first tests, NO PC connected at all power on see power light glow correct color then see Viewsonic splash screen push the menu button now. quickly, if button dead hold it for 10 to 15 second to reverse the button lock now, see OSD works. if you test the monitor on a good PC not in sleep mode the but working PC, your monitor is ok. this monitor is very very old, 2004? it has CCFL back lamps not LED< and all fully used CCFL lamps are now no good, used 8yrs a day at 5years are no good. that is why we use LED back lamps now. this is what they do: all do , used fully. 1: goEs dead forever, (vast did) 2: INTERMITTANT . (BINGO YOU ) OR INVERTER DEAD. 3: DIM BULBS (like me. lol) 4 TURN YELLOW FOR WHITE screens. 5: STROBEs. (FLASHes) AND A VERY EXPENSIVE SURE, THAT. AND LABOR.

power on and power on led glows normal , not yellow or flash. then this happens splash. attached, 2014 made. then that tells you screen is NOT DEAD is it? now? here? (PC is dead or missing)

and goes black screen NEXT,. if all that fails power supply is bad. if all that works the menu button works for 15 seconds turned on with no PC, and also works on all PCs if connected to one that are all good and not sleeping. test the monitor on 2 PCs if confused.

that means just what it tells you the PC is dead, PC video dead or video cable unplugged , dog chewed it , pins bent or plugged in wrong on 1 or both ends. or monitor not selected to the correct input port (OSD) PC power lamp glowing not amber or blinkikng PC fans spin , PSU fan and CPU both if PC has GPU card in PCI-express slot it must be use those ports only for video. PC not beeping PC not texting errors post. PC not blinking codes on LED or caps lock or POST ERRORS ! NO PC told PC dead. PC not stuck in sleep mode , hold PC power button for 10 full seconds to end it, (cold boot that is) test monitor on end good PC? yet?
