The above answer from Kingsway07 worked great for me on Windows 10, but I had to disable driver signature enforcement in order for step 11 to work. To disable driver signature enforcement, follow these instructions. a. Press the Win + C and click on PC settings. b. Switch over to the "Update & recovery" section. c. Then click on the Recovery option on the left hand side. d. Once selected, you will see an advanced startup section appear on the right hand side. You will need to click on the "Restart now" button. e. Once your Computer has rebooted you will need to choose the Troubleshoot option. f. Then head into Advanced options. g. Then Startup Settings. h. Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your computer one last time. I. Here you will be given a list of startup settings that you can change. The one we are looking for is "Disable driver signature enforcement". To choose the setting, you will need to press the F7 key.

The last Mac OS X version officially supported by that scanner is Mac OS 10.4 Tiger. You *MAY* be able to get it to work under Mac OS 10.5 Leopard or 10.6 Snow Leopard but otherwise there is NO way to get it to work with 10.7, 10.8 or 10.9 since these are Intel only platforms (the scanner software is PowerPC PPC.) Your only option is to run a Windows XP virtual machine inside your Mac and to it that way. I can assist you with that if you like.

I used this solution from KainAnderson
1) Install the Konica Minolta XP software in Win 7.
2) Plug in your DImage Scanner into a USB port and turn it on with the door closed. It may detect and install the original Konica Minolta Driver.
3) Create an empty folder on you harddrive (for instance go to my computer, double click on the c: drive, then right click and create a new folder named newminolta).
4) Open windows notepad and copy the following into it:

5. Now save you new notepad file in the directory you created as newminolta.inf NOT as newminolta.inf.txt or newminolta.txt (i.e. c:\newminolta\newminolta.inf)
6. Go to control panel (View Devices and Printers).
7. Right click on Minolta Scan Dual III and click on properties.8. Select Hardware tab, then select Properties
9. Select Driver tab, then select update driver
10. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
11. Browse to c:\newminolta\newminolta.inf (or wherever you stored file) and click Next
12. Click Next. After running driver file Win 7 should now say it updated driver.
13. Run Dimage software with door closed. Wait for it to initialize and green light stops blinking.
14 Open door and insert film holder and start scanning.

Since Konica Minolta exited this market, they ceased developing new drivers for upgraded versions of Windows. The last version developed was for XP...so on the surface, it would appear that it may not work with Vista.

You may want to download the last driver version and try it. The worst thing that could happen is you'd simply uninstall it. You may also consider upgrading to Windows 7 and using the XP mode with it to use the Scan Dual III

clean the scanner glass assembly.many times dust is from the inner side of glass so for this unit needs to be disassembled. but if the glass is clean then its the lens problem in the unit.the ray passing from the lens is getting on the paper and you are getting this red light on all the scanned copies.in this case either the lens is got moved from its position or the lens is cracked so it needs either readjustment or replacement. the lens in , located in the scanner assembly under the glass assembly.for this scanner unit has to be disassembled.the lens is a thin glass part which is very delicate to touch so don't apply force while cleaning the dust from lens. check out.
