I just got the Canon caniScan Lide 25 and installed the applications I received on the disk successfully (according to the installer prog!). I use Mac OS X. Then when I try to start scanning, a pop-up message says the application quit unexpectedly. (I checked their troubleshooting tips and the only tip I cannot test is trying opening the applications within a TWAIN compatible program (assuming the program opening it now isn't) how can I change how the application is opened?.)

I have CanoScan Lide 90 he's working fine, but for some reason the scaning not working well, I have all the time a black document (alomost black), you can see just a little bit.
Is some one can tell me what's wrong ? I appreciate
Mine just always says Cant Communitcate with scanner. i have tried 2 new usb cable and two different macs and pc it is a crap scanner i hate it with a passion

or www.usa.canon.com and search up your scanner model and then click on driver tap, then OS then you can download the driver and free software from there.

MacOSX 10.5.6 here
Canoscan LiDE 25 appears in System Profiler, but seems to no be powered and cannot be configured.
However on PC the same scanner is recognized and works fine.
Have installed latest software etc.
Strange thing is I'm sure it has worked on this same computer before.
