Pulled sidecover removed broken pieces of dipstick to find broken tooth on clutch basket . Replaced basket ,sidecover, oil, and dipstick. Now have no fire at plugs when trying to start. Bike did shut down on its own shortly after within 2-3 seconds of dipstick bouncing around in hole.
Just had this happen to my 2007 Shadow Aero 750. Just started it to stir up the oil, so I just had the dipstick sitting in the hole. It hopped around and got grabbed. Took off the cover, and there was no visible damage anywhere other than the dipstick. I had to adjust the electrical sensor that was in there. I guess it bent it up enough to not read anymore. I bent it back closer to the toothed wheel, and tried to start the motor, fired right up. Shut her down, reassembled. Hope this helps anyone out there that was brought to this post desperately looking for answers.

You may have some fuel issues. The cold may have cause any "trash" in the fuel to clump together. Flush your fuel out of the tank and check / change fuel filter. Hope this helps, please let us know, thanks

SOURCE: My clutch handel dosent seem to be pulling, feels loose
when clutch handle is squeezed the cable is broken or has came loose at clutch lever at tranmission. check if clutch lever at transmission moves when clutch handle is squeezed. reattach cable or replace as required
SOURCE: speedometer bounces
as the cable gets warmer it my be sticking in the sheath, i would recomend replacing the speedo cable, this should cure your problem.
