Short answer - don't.

Longer answer - even if you can buy a lighter from an auto parts store and make it work in a power outlet, you'll melt your dash.

Power outlets are designed to deliver power, but not to take the heat of a lighter. Lighter outlets are wrapped in multiple layers of metal and thermal insulation so they can safely hold a hot lighter, and none of that is present on a power outlet.

Where is the cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT?

The cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT is located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. The location of the fuse box varies depending on the year of the vehicle. For instance, in 2003-2007 models, the cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses are numbered 29 (Auxiliary Power Outlets) and 30 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2008-2009 models, they are numbered 33 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 38 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2010-2022 models, they are numbered 25 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 73 (Cigarette Lighter).

My lighter doesnt work, i have two and one doesnt work

There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.
The Instrument Panel [1] Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.

The Instrument Panel [2] Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.

The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.

Which fuse is allocated to the cigarette lighter? I initially thought it was the PDC Coils fuse, number 11, but when I switched that with a definitely working fuse, there was no change. Currently, I...

cigarette lighter is fuse #5
however, if that is ok then check the lighter/accessory relay

as for your power outlet...
I've searched a few different models and
cannot find that information

the power outlet might be a dealer add-on or aftermarket at which point power supply could be coming from anywhere

My cigarette lighter is not charging in my car what could it be?

You mean there seems to be no power to the vehicle's lighter unit outlet.

This lighter unit outlet is normally wired through its own fuse so check the fuse panel in the car for a blown fuse. If blown it must be replaced with a fuse of the correct amperage. The owner's manual will show you where the fuse is located.

Before you check the fuse just check the cigarette lighter outlet with another plug-in device if you have one such as a portable 12 volt tire compressor or a 12 volt plug-in auxiliary light. It could be that if you are using a charger from the outlet, the charger plug or wiring may be faulty rather than the car's power outlet itself. (These outlets don't usually give trouble unless the wiring has been messed with or the outlet itself has been damaged or abused).

If no device works from the lighter power outlet check the fuse as it may be blown.

Cigarette front lighter is not working in my 2001Saab

Check ALL the fuses. pull them out an dlook. Also repace the one that is power for the dash/rradio/etc... even if it looks good.
If that doe snot fix it then pull the lighter out and test the wire going to it for power. If it has power then you might have a bad plug/ground. Replace outlet if so.

Cigarette lighter not working (Ford Windstar 98, 3.0L

Question is, is it the outlet not working OR the actual lighter part of your lighter - the knobby thing you pull out that glows red after it popped back out after a couple minutes after you pushed it in. If it's the knobby thing - plug in a power device like a cell phone charger to see if the outlet works - then replace your knobby thing. If it IS the outlet, it has to be 2 things, one an errant fuse somewhere that is responsible for your outlet - labeled or not - OR a short or loose ground not allowing the outlet to get power. Check your outlet to see if it gets power, check your knobby thing, and check ALL your fuses, not just the ones for the lighter - could be another blown that helps out the outlet , like the one for dash illumination or the ones that control your radio or heat/air.
