Why is my VTech 6.0 CS6124 go straight to voicemail on all incoming calls?
Hi,
I found an online handbook manual for the VTech 6.) CS124. I noticed on Page 20 that you can set the number of rings on your answering system. Perhaps changing the number for incoming calls to a higher number might help.
Here's the link to the manual. https://cdn-web.vtp-media.com/media/p/document2/products/%7BD1C79A59-7C89-415D-830F-D57B9ACB6F33%7D/CS6124_UM_2.pdf Hope this helps.
How to use additional handsets with my VTECH DS6251-2.
Unfortunately, the old handsets may not be compatible with the new base. The DS6251-2 base only communicates with the DS6250 accessory handset. See the accessory list here:
https://www.vtechphones.com/store/pd/4158/DS6251-2-2-Line-2-Handset-Cordless-Phone-with-Answering-System-Smart-Call-Blocker . If the old handsets have been deregistered from the previous base unit, place a handset in the cradle on the base. Wait to see if the handset is registered. Alternately, press and hold Page until you see Registering. Release the Page button. Then press Quiet/# (below 9) on the handset. Wait for the handset to be registered.
To deregister handsets from the DS6251 base, press and hold Page. You'll see Registering Please Wait followed by Deregister all devices? At this point, release the Page button. Then press and release Page or the soft key for Yes.
I hope this helps. These are shown in the manual for the accessory handset. The manual is on available on the accessory handset page: https://www.vtechphones.com/store/pd/4184/DS6250-2-Line-Accessory-Handset-for-DS6251-series-phones . The current link to the manual is https://cdn-web.vtp-media.com/products/DS/DS6250/DS6250_CIB_V2_20200623.pdf .

Vtech dect 6.0 model cs6124 do not disturb is on
The VTech CS6124 does not have a DND feature. The ringer volume could be set to Off. For the handset(s), press Menu (the big round button below the LCD screen) on a handset when the phone system is idle (no handsets in use). Use the arrow keys (CID/Vol- and Phone Book/Vol+) to navigate to Ringers and press Select (same as the Menu button) twice. Press the Vol+ to increase the volume. You will hear the current ringer volume. Repeat pressing Vol+ until you reach a volume that you prefer. Press Select to save the setting and then press Off to exit the menu system. To adjust the ringer volume at the base, press the Up/Down buttons when the phone system is idle.
The manuals are available from VTech's product support page: https://www.vtechphones.com/support/technical-support/product/1516 . The full manual is currently available here: https://cdn-web.vtp-media.com/products/CS/CS6124/CS6124-X_WEBCIB_V7_20190916.pdf . See pages 16-17 (page 23-24 of the PDF).

How to register the extra cordless handset of vtech 15250
Add and register a handset
Each newly purchased handset must be registered to the telephone base before use. When first purchased, each expansion handset shows NOT REGISTERED.
You may need to charge the phone first.
To register a handset:
·Place the unregistered handset in the telephone base or charger. Press Find for 4 seconds. If the headset screen doesn't light up after the 4 seconds. You will need to charge it some more.
·After making sure it is charged set the telephone on the main base again press and hold the Find button for 4 seconds ( until the red light IN USE comes on) Then release the find button. The headset will show PLEASE WAIT; this takes about 10 seconds to complete the registration. The hand set will show HEADSET REGISTERED and the headset number assigned, you will hear a beep when the registration is finished
·When the registration is complete, the newly registered handset is assigned the next available handset registration number. For instance, if you already have HANDSET 1 and HANDSET 2, the next registered handset is HANDSET 3.
·Makes sure no other headsets are in use at the time or the registration may fail.
·You cannot register a handset if any other system handset is in use. Only one handset can be registered at a time.
After charging battery, the phone dial reads, out of range,or no pwr at base
Double check that the power cable is _fully_ plugged into the phone base, then check to see that power cable is fully plugged into wall outlet; and/or fully plugged into phone wall outlet. (Some base units have no power adapter and get their power from the phone outlet on the wall). In short, double check _all_ wired connections. Do not assume they are fully plugged in.
