I am currently on vacation and I was taking pictures with my Olympus FE-230 and when I now turn it on it tells me that I need to format my card but in doing this it will delete all my pictures. I cannot use a computer to get the pictures off my memory card because I do not have a memory card slot in my computer and I can't buy anything because I am on and island. I did not have my camera connected to the computer and so I didn't fail to disconnect it. I was wondering if there is anything I can do while I am on vacation so I can still use my card and so I don't have to erase my pictures.

Get a card reader and download the pics to your computer. Then, format the card in the camera.

Simple...buy an inexpensive card reader and download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Then, format the card in the camera.

Memory card seems imbalanced due to some reason and can only be corrected by formatting as advised in camera pop up.
Of course all picture files will be deleted if card is formatted. Try to put card in card reader and back up files in computer.

If you knowing that there are no images on the memory card, format the card in your camera. If it has images on it, try getting them downloaded to your computer before trying to format the card. I've seen formatting a card fix this type of issue.

Well, I had same issue and call the crapus support and they told me to format it. That is solution they recommend. it happen to me three times already had a camera less than 2 month. Well time to sell crapus and get me a real camera, I had Nikon and Canon almost 8 years and never had issue with memory card. I was stupid to take chance on crapus, by the way if you are not using none olympus brand memory card you are out of luck, they do not support.
