Check the roller cover. If the roller cover is not firmly closed it will cause a feed error.
I opened and firmly closed the roller cover until I hear it click.

After that it lift the tray to scan..

This happened to me, and even though this sounds primitave, I just lifted the tray manually by hand and it has been working fine ever since.

CANON DR-9080C TRAY MOTOR BUZZES THEN I GET AN ERROR THAT SAYS NO PAPER FOUND.CLEANDED THE SENSOR WINDOW, CHECKED ALL THE CONNECTIONS BUT STILL NOT FIXED.

Hi Marc,
***Make sure that you plugged the cable that comes from the camera detect PCB (sensor) into the document board assy (metal part under the plastic tray).*** You said you checked all the connections, but I would recheck them, and trace them all the way through the metal lift mechanism...the cabling has junctions that run through the metal box all the way across to the right side of the machine and plug into the 10Sub PCB. You will have to remove the metal lift mechanism and unplug to cables from the 10Sub PCB. You will also have to separate the upper and lower parts of the metal box. You might as well clean the metal box out, check the plastic gears, make sure the motor is plugged in, and regrease the plastic gears if they look like they need it. Check the wiring for crimps or breaks too. When you reassemble the box, make sure that the black "U" shaped photo interrupter doesn't get knocked out of place. If everything still looks ok, I would replace the sensor and retest. The buzzing noise from the lift tray may or may not be related. There is a stepping motor in the lift tray assy that could have a problem. Order them both, they are pretty cheap.

Hope that helps...let me know

Pls wot should i do 4 my copir is howe erro code u6.03

Sharp Error Codes

when trying to post problem pls specify device manufacturer and model

i think that is sharp copier

check the error code it is lifting problem

There could be a bad lift motor on the tray. The tray could have a bad sensor. Someting is either not moving the tray up and down or the sensors are not detecting the movement.
Remove the paper and the tray, inspect the tray , see if it moves freely, look for something bent or out of place.

or if there is pick up roller try to clean using alcoholic liquid

clean the dust

Tray lifts to meet the rollers then drops back down. Error message 'No page was found in the feeder'

Clean the 'black dot' in the centre of the paper tray. There is an optical sensor under that. The tray will lift even without paper, but will go back immediately.
If the scanner stops after 3 pages, check disk space in your computer. If you are scanning in TIFF uncompressed, it takes lot of space. For color and Grey try JPG format, for mono TIFF G4 is the ideal option.

Scaner doesn't work. It alway show the error message: "No page was found in the feeder. (-4401).

Pls try page counting in the local mode, If the tray lifts, then you know the sensor is ok. else, wipe clean the two black spots just under the rollers and try. Normally these sensors dont fail.

I have a canon 6080 scanner. getting a error "no

Clean the two 'black dots' in the paper tray, just under the roller. They are actually paper sensors. Try 'page counting'. If this works, the scanner is okay. If the problem still persists, try reloading the scanning software.

Scanner is not taking the pages and it is showing error message 4401

Please explain the problem more clearly.
Switch on the scanner, load some papers and try 'page count'. If it works, then there is no problem with tray lifting or paper movement. If this is not working, try 'Qumatool' and give a command to lift the paper tray. If it lifts, then the problem is with a sensor under the paper lifting tray. (It may not be in HP - Home position). If the tray is not lifting, then you may have problem with motor. S. Mohan, Chennai, India

Paper tray at front of scanner will not lift. Scanner has been reset multiple times and computer rebooted as well. Error msg= unknown error canon DR-6080/7880/9080C driver versioin 1.3.10502.17001 (-4523)

Disconnect the scanner from the Comp, Try 'page counting'. If the papers go through, then you know feed mechanism is okay. if the tray is not lifting, then you have a problem. Use Qumatool software and check if the tray is lifting. If the scanner tray if lifting then the motor is okay, if not, the lifting motor may need a check. If the motor is okay, but tray not lifting means the sensor in the paper tray is faulty. Check this out.

Canon DR-9080c scanner not lifting error no page found in feeder

There is a paper sensor just under the rolers in the lifting tray. Clean the area thoroughly with a damp cloth. Keep some sheets and try ]count only'. If it works then the sensor is okay, then you can try your scanning. If it is not sensing paper, check the sensor or connections to the sensor.

No page was found in scanner when one was there

Lift up the black frame around the large soft grey pick rollers on the upper part of the paperfeed until it locks into place. Power off scanner and back on and the trya will lift and the paper will feed.
