My 2WIRE router won't give out wireless signal.

Unplug the ISP modem and the 2wire, Check ALL cables and reseat connections, plug in the ISP modem, wait for selftest, plug in wireless, wait for selftest, does your wireless SSID show in Available Wireless Networks on the Laptop? Can you connect using a Ethernet cable to verify it's getting a signal? Contact your ISP and have them verify the signal, have a ISP tech come out to analize the signal, it may be outside?

Won't find wireless connection

Did you turn the wireless switch on? Normally there is a switch either on the sides or the front of the laptop that you have to turn on. Sometimes it is a button at the top of the keyboard.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Changed the display screen not can't connect to the internet says local and wireless card aren't plugged in

usually the screen has two cables that are connected to the wireless card. you won't get signal if you don't plug those in. however.. it is not recognizing your wireless card. go to device manager and check if the drivers are not installed or if the pc is not recognizing it.

right click on my computer, manage. and on the left device manager.

S7600n wireless won't stay connected

Maybe you need to be closer to the router. Try moving next to the router and see if it loses the signal. If it does, your wireless card needs to be replaced.

Laptop says i am connected to internet but it won't let me online

Limited connectivity
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wirelessconnection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptopprobably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and thenclick Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless cardon the laptop.

Why won't sylvania netbooks stay connected to wireless while other computer will.

Try checking with your wireless provider to make sure you have a large enough connection to use two computers at the same time. If one pc is set to have priority on using the wireless connection over the netbook, it will bump it offline.

If your netbook is loosing the signal itself, try moving your router or modem to another position to see if it solves the problem. Keep your router/modem away from things like microwaves, stereo's and other electronics that can cause interference.

I can not get signal wi-fi when i try TP-LINK TL-WN722N connected to PC...but when i try in notebook there is no problem. My notebook and PC have same OS,thanks

Usually ordinary desktops doesn't have the capability to connect to a WLAN Network because there won't be any WiFi antenna embedded on the motherboard. But in the case of laptops for the ease of use of network services wherever you go they come fitted with WiFi antenna and hence can connect to a wireless LAN network by the flip of a switch.Connecting to a Wireless LAN network has nothing to do with OS because it is a Hardware feature. Please don't forget to rate me if satisfied with my solution. Thanks for choosing Fixya.

I have an acer extensa 5620z and netgear dg834v5 modem/router. I can connect via ethernet, but even though i have set the router without security, the laptop detects the wireless network, but won't...

This is worked for me on Vista:
1. Goto Network and Sharing Center.
2. Click on your Wireless Connection "View Status".
3. Click on Propertes.
4. Uncheck the option that says "Internet Protocol Version 6"

When I did this, my wireless began working again.
