The speakers on the front of my HP w17e monitor used to work, until I connected seperate speakers so I would not blow out the monitors. Today I did not plug the seperate speakers in, and I can't get the monitor speakers to work.

Check the audio jack plug from monitor to cpu if connected correctly. The audio jack plug should be connected to the sound card for audio out. You can also check if the volume in the monitor is adjusted or mute

There is no sound coming out of the monitor i was wondering how to make it work and if i need a special wire to make it work

Yes, you will need a seperate wire that goes from the input in the monitor to the sound adapter on your computer. The cable plugs should look something like this:

It was working fine yesterday. Today is states VGA no signal. What is the problem.

A number of things can cause "No Signal" on a monitor

1) Check the cable between the monitor and PC is properly connected
2) If the PC has more than one display port try changing the display port the monitor is plugged into
3) Try an alternative cable between the monitor and the PC
4) Check that the correct input is selected on the monitor

Speaker is not working properly , rattling noise coming

Can you hear any rattling inside if you shake the monitor? It can be blown speakers or they are being driven too hard, just want to make sure before taking it apart. Do not expect too much sound from monitor bulit-in speakers since they use very small speakers that sound like tin can for most application.

Hp monitro speakers not working

Hi!

I think the sound drivers of your monitor may have got corrupted after formatting and hence you are facing the issue of speakers not working. Please try to rest the Monitor by turning off the monitor then press and hold the menu button and while you are still holding the menu button turn on the monitor and hold it still for 2 minutes. If the problem persists then you need to download the new drivers for your monitor from hp.com and install them to resolve the issue you are facing with.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
