Sound are not working

1: check the speaker wire. it should connect to a green port at the back of the computer.
2. In control panel open realtek audio device manager. it will tell you where its connected
3. If its a monitor speaker then do a factory reset for the monitor.
4. try to configure the speaker from audio device manager on the system tray volume icon
still doesnt work then uninstall the driver for sound card from device manger
restart the computer
still no then do a system recovery

How do i get the sound to work on my HPw2207 monitor? Are there built in speakers?

HP w2207 has built-in speakers (Integrated rear facing). All you have to do is connect the LCD and PC (Sound output) using Audio Cable (Stereo).

No sound

no if external speakers work that means that the sound card is absolutely fine>
now let me tell u the computer itself doesnt have any in built speakers>
either u connect external speakers or the monitor that u use should have speakers built with it> then u connect the monitor to the computer then also use a thin sound cable from the monitor to the back of the computer on the green port

I can not hear sound out of my HP w2207h Monitor and I need to know is there a certain cord I should be using?? This monitor is supposed to have built in speakers?

The monitor may have an internal speaker but it would need to be connected toyour sound card to work. All necessary cables should've been supplied.

No sound from built in speakers

the built in speakers on the monitor are only speakers, they are not run through the video signal cable and have to be connected separately.
many monitors with speakers provide a stereo cable in the package but dont tell what the cable is for.
If there is a cable provided there will be a small jack on the monitor that connects to audio out on the sound card.
There may also be a stereo plug combined with the video cable, that likewise connects to audio out.
If the hardware is connected, there may be a volume control on the monitor that may be muted.
If the problem is a recent thing for a system that previously had working sound with this monitor, try the mute on the audio settings

Built in speakers will not play any sound

going to seem a dumb Q,
but is the audio cable plugged in, next to vga hp have a separate audio socket, the cable(supplied- 1/8 inch stereo plugs each end) fits between sound card speaker out, and monitor.

NO SOUND!

Hi

Pls check if the audio cable from the monitor is connected to the tower. Make sure it is connected to the green port at the back.
Also check the volume button on the side of the monitor and set it to maximum.

If this doesnt work, then try with another pair of external speakers and check.

My hp speakers wont work

Sample testing is usually a firmware built into the monitor amplifier ie the monitor is testing itself. you problem possibly lies with the computer sound system. Tell me more about this. Is it an 'On-board' sound card or separate PCI card. You can determine this by looking at the back of the computer- if all the connectors - sound- PS2 and USB are in the same panel - then it is an on-board system. If the sound is separate in one of the card position then it is a PCI card. The possibility is the sound system needs setting up- check your computer paperwork/manual and utilities disk for Audio drivers. Come back with some answers
